These instructions apply to most types of watches with date and weekday displays in the window, or with calendar and weekday displays using hands. Exceptions for complications can be found here, for chronographs here.
Pos. 0 Crown closed, for screw-down crown and crown with Quick Lock (QLC) system
Pos. 1 Winding position
Pos. 2 Date and weekday setting
Pos. 3 Time setting
Setting the time:
- If present, open screw-down crown or QLC crown.
- Pull the crown into position 3.
- Turn the hand forwards until the correct time is set.
- Push the crown into position 1.
- If present, close the screw-down crown or QLC crown.
Set the date:
- If present, open the screw-down crown or QLC crown.
- Pull the crown into position 2.
- Depending on the movement type, turn the crown clockwise or counterclockwise and set the current date.
- If the weekday is displayed, turn the crown counterclockwise and set the current date and day.
- The quick setting of the date must not be activated between 21:00 and 03:00.
We recommend setting the date to the previous day and changing to the new day by turning the time-setting hand. By doing this, you can be sure that your time setting starts in the morning when the date changes. Tip: If you cannot find crown position 2 directly, we recommend pulling the crown out completely and pushing it into position 2 again.
