The rotating bezel of all diver's watches can only be adjusted in a counterclockwise direction. This prevents the measured or set time from being extended if the ring is turned unintentionally, e.g. by striking it. This ensures that the diver has sufficient decompression time available. The rotating bezel of a diver's watch can also be used as a timer or for any type of time measurement to the minute or hour, e.g. parking, cooking, playing, etc. Rotating bezel for timekeeping to the minute: - Set the marker of the rotating bezel to the current position of the minute hand or to the desired end time of the minute hand. - To set the rotating bezel on ProDiver models, it must first be raised to allow the scale to rotate. The elapsed minutes or the minutes past the set end time can be read on the ring.
In the example above, 33 minutes have elapsed since the start of measurement. Rotating ring for hourly time measurement: - Set the marker of the rotating ring to the current position of the hour hand or to the desired end time of the hour hand. The elapsed hours or the hours passed after the end time can be read on the ring.
